Official Rules and Prizes
ELIGIBILITY
The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) LIVE WILD TURKEY Photo Contest (“Contest”) is open for all professional and amateur photographers who are over 18 years of age and who are residents of the U.S.
Entry must be the original work of the entrant, and entrant must be the sole owner of the copyright of such entry. The NWTF reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any entry that is not a LIVE WILD TURKEY or inappropriate.
Employees of the NWTF and their immediate family members are not eligible to win. The NWTF reserves the right to verify all eligibility requirements. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Your digital submission must be no less than 3,500 pixels by 3,500 pixels (72 dpi). 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be requested to provide the original, unedited RAW or JPEG images. Photographs with watermarks, writing or symbols of any kind will be rejected.
CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest will begin on October 1, 2020, and end on January 12, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”).
WHAT TO ENTER
Enter your photograph(s) of live, wild turkey(s). No game camera images, or photos of dead turkeys will be accepted.
HOW TO ENTER
There is no fee to enter or limit to the number of entries you can submit. Upload your LIVE WILD TURKEY photos (up to 50MB each) by clicking on the “UPLOAD PHOTO” tab and enter all requested information. You must confirm that you have read the official contest rules and that you are over the age of 18.
WINNER NOTIFICATION
Potential winners will be notified by telephone, mail and/or email sometime in January, and will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and, unless prohibited, a Publicity Release, a W-9 Form and any additional documents that may be required by prize provider within fourteen (14) days of date of issuance. If any potential winner is an eligible minor in his or her jurisdiction of residence, prize may, at the Sponsors’ discretion, be awarded in the name of the parent or legal guardian, and such parent or legal guardian will be required to fulfill all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein. Noncompliance with this time period or with these official rules, or the return of any prize notification as undeliverable, may result in disqualification and, at the NWTF’s discretion, the prize will be awarded to an applicable runner-up.
Judging:
Judging for 1st - 3rd place will be performed by the NWTF photography and graphics departments. A people's choice award will also be given based on votes on the contest website. Only one vote per-photo is allowed.
Grand Place Prize: $1,000 (U$D) cash prize; publication in a special multi-spread feature in an issue of Turkey Country Magazine; publication in the NWTF’s online winners’ gallery.
PRIZES:
Grand Place Prize: $1,000 (U$D) cash prize; publication in a special multi-spread feature in an issue of Turkey Country Magazine; publication in the NWTF’s online winners’ gallery.
Second Place Prize: $750 (U$D) cash prize; publication in a special multi-spread feature in an issue of Turkey Country Magazine; publication in the NWTF’s online winners’ gallery.
Third Place Prize: $500 (U$D) cash prize; publication in a special multi-spread feature in an issue of Turkey Country Magazine; publication in the NWTF’s online winners’ gallery.
Runner up Prizes: Certain images may be chosen as a runner up and may be published in a special multi-spread feature in an issue of Turkey Country Magazine; or published in the NWTF’s online winners’ gallery.
People's Choice: NWTF swag will be given to one contestant who wins the people's choice vote on the contest website. Anyone may vote for the People's Choice one time per-photo.
All prize details are at the sole discretion of the NWTF. No substitution, cash equivalent or transfer of prizes permitted by winners. The NWTF reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of comparable or greater value, in its sole discretion. All federal, state and local taxes, as well as any costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being awarded, are the sole responsibility of each winner. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by the NWTF.
USE OF ENTRY:
Photographers retain copyright on any photo they submit to the Contest. The entrant grants the NWTF and its designees an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to publication rights of entered images in its magazines (including covers), calendar and electronic medias as well as for possible use in future promotional material of the Contest, including other types of publications and advertising material without further compensation, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law. All photos will be credited to the photographer. Please provide your social media or website information so we can credit your image if we display it on our social media platforms.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Your personal information collected in connection with this Contest may be used without limitation, for marketing and promotional purposes for future contests and freelance photography needs.
